Being with Mouna
Thank you, thank you, thank you! We received 59 generous donations through our Indiegogo campaign which closed yesterday. We are so grateful to all of the donors who are supporting the film. It especially touched me to hear from old high school friends, past co-workers and that my husband donated three times. We had an amazing $1000 Executive Producer donation from one of Mouna’s former voice students who is now living and teaching in Davis. Mouna and the team felt particularly validated when she heard about that!
And a surprising connection came through for Mouna through the campaign and this website. She received an e-mail from her first best friend from her Texas childhood whom she had not been in touch with in over 5o years. She and her friend are now communicating through e-mail. Who knows, this reunion may become part of the film….
A special thank you to the Mouna team: Karen Scheer, Martha Phelps and Claudia Ballard for their help in raising over $5700 for “Being With Mouna…”. We made 66% of our goal which goes a long way toward covering our production costs for the film.
